About

After engaging in business and art careers, my interests in writing, interdisciplinary studies, and contemporary culture guided me to pursue a PhD in Mythological Studies/Depth Psychology. I was drawn to  archetypal perspectives shifting literal thinking to the mythical and metaphorical realm of creative discovery and imagination. I continued my mythic journey as a roundtable facilitator with the Joseph Campbell® Foundation sharing patterns of the hero and heroine’s journey with others.

Both journeys focus on personal transformation but mythically, the heroine and hero’s journey differ: the hero’s journey emphasizes a physical journey into different realms, while the heroine’s journey is often an inner exploration to develop self-empowerment and awareness.

Why the Journey Matters...

It has continued importance as a tool for HD analysis, as well as a guide for inspiring narratives to create the synthesis that composes our unique designs. Understanding the interrelatedness results in an integration of the masculine and feminine traits with endless possibilities for expression, while the awareness and comprehension of the  decision-making process utilizes clear strategies that align with one’s unique mission—life work and purpose.

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are. —Joseph Campbell
